Along Ireland’s western coast, the Atlantic ocean has always been a force to be reckoned with. Storms roll in from the open sea, driving rain against the cliffs and sending great waves crashing upon the shore.

For generations, these wild waters have shaped the lives and stories of coastal communities. To those who lived beside them, the sea could be both provider and adversary, beautifu and abundant with fish l in calm weather, yet fierce and unforgiving when the storms came.

And when the wind howled across the Atlantic and the waves rose against the coast, there was little to do but listen to the sea and wait for the storm to pass.
